Nowadays people travel a lot, for various reasons, and don’t belong to one place anymore. Younger generations move easily and freely, but it often results in detachment from living spaces, a feeling of restlessness. Many architectural projects are devoted to designing temporary housing to be accessible to anyone in future. But with their focus on the functionality, the feeling of what is called "home" is always missing. It’s essential for us, especially in our current unstable and mobile lifestyle. I see sobriety and as little belongings as possible as the future of our living spaces. And I want to create a transportable sense of home. I consider “home” not as a place but as activities and emotions. There are things from our cultural backgrounds and personal feeling of comfort – our Landmarks. Memory triggers like smells and precious objects. Reminders of environment we grew up. Natural materials with clear origins, that give most intimate tactile perception. Home-ceremonies of calming down and claiming space – for a while. We only need what has emotional value, to make any space – a home, and to feel at home – anywhere. A combination of product and textile design, it is an intercultural collection for contemporary nomads.
